The Smart City project under the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) is a Public Private Partnership (PPP), where Richardson technologies converts around 12,000 lighting points in the city in to Smart LED Lighting systems. These can be centrally monitored and controlled.

Additionally, Richardson offers the City of Colombo state-of-the-art synchronized digital display services for advertising, and electric vehicle charging points. The company has also installed CCTV cameras and analytical systems for enhanced security and monitoring, as well as other Internet of Things (IOT) services for the benefit of citizens and commuters of city.
